Dr. Whitaker (He/him/his) obtained a PhD from Texas A&M University (Institute for Neuroscience) and the National Eye Institute, NIH with Dr. Anand Swaroop. He was then a Postdoctoral fellow at the National Human Genome Research Institute with Dr. Elaine Ostrander and is currently a Scientific program manager at the National Institute on Aging with Dr. Mark Cookson. When not involved with research, Dr. Whitaker enjoys hobbies such as quilting, pottery wheel, and cooking/baking. Dr. Whitaker’s career path goals include consulting and/or project management roles for large organizations with a positive societal impact.
