We have the pleasure of hosting Dr. Kevin Feldheim, who will discuss “My career path to becoming a lab manager.”
Dr. Kevin Feldheim is the A. Watson Armour III Manager of the Pritzker Laboratory for Molecular Systematics and Evolution at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. He attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana for his undergraduate and master’s degrees in biology. He did his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago, studying lemon sharks’ population genetics and mating system (Negaprion brevirostris). He uses genetic markers to examine population genetics and mating systems in a variety of species, although he primarily focuses on elasmobranchs.
