Carlos A. Rodriguez-Garcia, Ph.D., ASQ CSSGB, is Director of Operations Support at Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (Coppell, TX) and President of BioMed Pharma Consulting, LLC, an independent consulting firm providing services in Quality Management Systems to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Dr. Rodriguez-Garcia has over 20 years of experience in the regulated industry. Specifically in Quality Management, Facilities, Engineering, and Product Design encompassing a broad scope of products and processes: Parenterals, solid oral dose, disposable medical devices, and durable medical devices. He completed his undergraduate studies at Marquette University and graduate studies at Texas A&M University, focusing on analyzing electrical signals from the human body.
Dr. Rodriguez-Garcia grew up in Puerto Rico and now lives in Plano, Texas, with his wife, Laura Cruz y Celis, a speech-language pathologist. They have two adult children. He enjoys bicycle riding, hiking, gardening, and sailing to remain physically active. He also enjoys volunteering and is a member of his neighborhood homeowners’ association and the Plano Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors. Dr. Rodriguez-Garcia is a lifelong learner who appreciates the opportunity to share his knowledge with others.
