Statement on how the applicant’s current research program or graduate teaching program integrates with the broad field of Genetics and Genomics.
Statement that the applicant understands the requirements for maintaining good standing with the Genetics and Genomics program.
Statement on whether the applicant wants to train Genetics graduate student.
If the applicant would like to mentor Genetics and Genomics Graduate Students, then clarify how their current research program will provide up-to-date training in elements that encompasses the field of Genetics and Genomics.
Statement that the applicant understands their responsibility for the financial support of the Genetics and Genomics Graduate Student in the latter periods of the student’s education.
3. A letter of support of the nomination from your Department Head
Elements needed in the letter:
The Department Head and applicant discussed and agreed upon an arrangement that allows the applicant to maintain good standing in the Genetics and Genomics Program and also maintain the responsibilities of the applicant’s home department.
The Department Head and applicant discussed that if the applicant takes on a Genetics and Genomics Graduate student and the applicant’s funding becomes strained, what support options the applicant’s home department provide to continue the training of the Genetics and Genomics Graduate student.
The Faculty of Genetics and Genomics Membership Committee will review the nomination and you will be informed of their decision after 30-45 days of your submission.
