Biography:My research program focuses on comparative genomic studies with the Campylobacter
family of bacteria. In particular, we have amassed an extensive culture collection with representatives from the majority of species in this family. We have especially focused on the enteric species and also on the oral species. In addition to studying bacteria in vitro with cell culture models we have also accomplished in vivo studies with several of these species. Our expertise with the production of mutant strains provides a powerful tool for functional genomics.
